my wife has been claiming the lr3 lowers itself after being shut off for a period of time. i didnt necessarily believe it until i saw it happen tonight. the suspenion height is set at normal and didnt change after vehicle lowered itself. anyone familiar with this and is it normal or is it a settings issue?

Are you sure it is lowering itself all the way? The LR3 wakes itself up periodically and does a number of things - one of them being leveling the air suspension. Since it isn't on, it will level it by lowering one portion, versus trying to raise another area.

I've seen mine level itself out after shut down. freaked me out the first time it did it, but after checking, the truck was level on my driveway.

Yes - 'delivered functionality' as they say.

It will let out a 'fart' of air shortly after turning off ignition.

The Range Rovers have that nice feature where they automatically lower to access height when you park and raise up when you start going. I used to think the LR3 did that, but then realized, as was stated here, that it is just leveling itself out.

I usually have the truck backed in the garage with the tailgate open, and I like how it relevels itself as I pack or unpack gear from the back.

that auto access when in park would be really nice. you would think its just a software mod somehow that could be figured out????????

i read about that and thought it would work well for getting in as i would push button and it lowers to get in. but getting out works well also? so put in park, shut off, pull key out, hit button, wait for lowering, then exit?
