i read about that and thought it would work well for getting in as i would push button and it lowers to get in. but getting out works well also? so put in park, shut off, pull key out, hit button, wait for lowering, then exit?

Sure, that would work. But why wouldn't you just hit the switch inside as you are parking? That is what we do, and it has basically become second nature (and I almost never drive the car).

I saw where I can program the key to raise the car or lower it while I hold the buttons...kind of a pain in the ass for getting in and out any time (but good for its intended purpose of raising and lowering the trailer hitch). I didn't see any remote codes that will lower to access height whenever you unlock the door or with one press of a button. Am I missing something?

It will lower to access height when you hit the switch by the TRS. We normally do that as we pull in to a parking spot or garage and it is at access height by the time we put it in park and take off our seat belts.

Yep, you can't program your key fob to do it in the way you want... that function is really only to assist with hitching a trailer, and it requires your Emergency Blinkers to be on as a safety lockout while you raise/lower with the fob.

If you want it to lower the car to access before you exit the car, quickly tap the lower switch just moments before you park and it'll be done by the time you turn off your engine just like Rich says. When you return, the car will still be at access height.

Oh yeah sure...the vehicle height switch...we all know the switch...does anyone not know about the switch? ...its the first thing we played with when we test drove the car! (and the next best toy when you're stopped next to your friend at a traffic light!)

Its the automatic RR functionality that would have been nice. But I got us off track...

On a somewhat related topic, it is nice to leave the truck in off road height when you want to crawl around and inspect the belly of your vehicle. No dollies, no jacks!
