I kinda clipped off the rear passenger side door plastic body things that mold around the bottom of the door and rear wheel.

I was able to snap most of it back on, but it looks like I sheared off some of the plastic tabs.

Any clue if I can just get some new tabs and reset the thing, or do I need a full set of panels.

Thanks!

That happened to me on my front right passenger door. I took it to the dealer and they took care of it...

any DIY suggestion

My wife just had the same experience today. Before I give up and let the dealer fix it, I wonder if anyone else has figured out the DIY solution. Looks to me like it should slide on, but I am reluctant to pull too ******* the other end where I assume a similar clip exists.

My thanks in advance for any ideas.

All of the door moldings use the same two piece clip to hold them on. (DYC101420). It is a 2-piece clip designed to be pulled apart and reinstalled, (most of the time). On the front doors, I believe they take 16? clips, and I don't know on the rears. From memory, that is it. You are supposed to be able to push moldings back on. If you replace the clips with new, you slide the clips in the slots on the moulding, remove the old peices of clip from the door metal, (don't worry if pieces fall inside), and push it on.
I hope that makes sense.
The wheel arch molding use the same clip, as well as I think one screw, while the lower molding uses them and just a few plastic push fasteners.

Thanks for your comments.

The trim piece did not fall off, but the edge towards the back of the car came undone. I can pop part of the trim off enough to see that most of the clips are the push on type, as you mention, but the last clip on the end is designed to slide on. Without removing the trim, I cannot slide it enough to re-attach.

My guess is that I should gently undo each of the push on clips and then all of the slide on clips will be aligned the same way. Then I should be able to slide off towards the front of the car, and then slide back carefully to engage all of the slide on clips (seems to be 4 - 1 in each corner) before pressing down to reattach the push on clips.

Does that sound right to you or is my guess all wrong?

Thanks.
