About to purchase a set of front and rear slotted drilled rotors. Very inexpensive (on ebay form reputable dealer), yet not sure about the disadvantages of drilled vs non-drilled. Also will I need special pads with slotted drilled? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Nothing special required as far a pads for either. The only real use for them though is if you get the brakes real hot, like driving a lot of steep roads with lots of hard turns. City driving or highway driving will be a waste of money. I live in WV where I live on a M/C dream for a road. 20+ miles of nothing but curves and hills. This is a wonderful place for slotted and/or drilled rotors, and they do help. The only issue is with expensive pads they do require a warm up period, and if it is real cold out brakes suck for the first couple of uses.

Thanks for the feedback. Just the basic urban/suburban, back and forth transport so no use for major brake assist. Thought the price was good for the set (179.00 set of f/r rotors). Will search for a rotor/pad packcage instead ..hopefully for the same price. Thanks again.
