The defender does look pretty weak structurally. Max tongue weight is like 250 pounds. Land Rover is owned by an Indian company now so they are probably cutting corners like previous owners wouldn't do.

@ryanjl also sorry to see you go. Super strong contributor. I'm still around, but been doing lots of other things. The LR4 seems to be doing better now that I don't focus on it as much. Got inside a Rivian today. Pretty nice, but my LR4 is nice too and I got into it for a fraction of the price.

Absolutely not. One report of a single insurer totaling a car bc they couldn’t get parts doesn’t mean it’s bad structurally. It’s a monster.The defender does look pretty weak structurally.
