Transmission problem

98 disco , after pulling a vehicle for about an hour away, this mornin when I get in my the truck the tranny will rev up on its own up to 2300 tons, and then go down on its own... Or if I shift it from drive to neutral it revs up on its own is the whole problem.. could this just ne a sensor? Need help , thanks

What fault code numbers do you have?
The tranny can not cause the engine to rev up, sounds more like an idle control issue, how mechanical are you?

Pretty mechanical, but it only did it one time this morning, and hasn't since.

Any codes, have you looked at cleaning your t/body and IAC?
