Tried taking remotes to two different auto stores with the remote testers, both were not sending signals.

The dealership (Luxor Auto Group) I bought it from actually called today, and agreed to replace both remotes for free, so that's a start.

As to how I don't have a sunroof.....I don't know, I was unaware they all were supposed to have one, not a big fan of the sunroof anyway, here in phoenix my experience with sun roofs has been negative...mostly because of the sun...its hot.

I figured I would check those wires just in case they some how got disconnected.

The one issue I had with both of my remotes is that the battery separated from the circuit board. The first time it happened, I thought the battery was dead, so I bought a new battery and opened up the remote to do the swap. Upon closer examination and testing, I discovered that one of the solder joints for the battery contacts had severed. I think this was due to the stress of being dropped on the floor many times. Resoldering the connection caused the remote to function perfectly again.

How did you go about separating the case with out destroying it? I tried taking on of the cases apart and the plastic started to break away.

Yes, it's a pain taking apart the case, and there's a good chance you'll have pain in your hand when you gouge yourself with a screwdriver. Somebody did a write-up on this in one of the RR Sport forums. Let me see if I can find it... Ahh yes, here it is:

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/13394/3 Button Key Fob Case.pdf

I think the best spot to pry apart is the joint cavity where the shank meets the fob. It allows for a bigger tool to be inserted and any damage you do will be less visible.

The rubber button on one of my fobs had worn through, so earlier this year I bought a new (Chinese made) fob case on ebay for very cheap. My plan was to keep the shank and electronics to put in the new fob. The problem was that the dimensions of the new fob were too large, making it impossible to get the spring loaded flip out mechanism to work with my shank. It was basically a sloppy copy of a real fob. I ended up buying a used but real fob on ebay, and made that the donor.

CWW... I'm having trouble with just the fob working. Ive been told that the wires in the door sill are the ones that I need to cut, splice and waterproof. Are these the ones you repaired? Do you or any one else know the easiest way to get the plastic unter the sill off without breaking it? or at least send me a thread that does deal with the exact procedure for fixing the issue.
