Hi I have a 2012 lr4 5.0 just checking to see when I might need a valve job I'm doing timing chain right now. Anyone have a time line before valve job is needed. Thanks for any input

I don't think there's a scheduled "maintenance" for a valve job. I'd imagine you would only need it, if you don't have compression. Before and after you get the timing chain done, check compression for each cylinder 3 times each. That'll give you a decent average. I was getting between 190-210 psi, and anything above 150 is fantastic.

If you find low compression before hand, you can address it while you're in there doing the timing chains. I'm also assuming you're diy the job.

Oh... that... technically there is a bg44k service that you can do. I thought you were talking about something else, but I'll still stand by compression testing it before and after.

When I did my timing chains, I walnut blasted it. Just make sure you get 99.9% of all walnut dust out of each valve.

I would guess somewhere around 300-400K, if engine is never overheated, and frequent 5-7.5K oil changes. Or, you could take a compression and leakdown every 150K to track it...
