Well, it happened to my D just now. 2015 Red Rover picked up something and the crack runs through the drivers line of sight (haven't even seen it yet...) - so I need a new windscreen to pass the next inspection.

I would much prefer an original Rover Branded, but at the least a PPG (is it PPG right??) OEM, but not Rover Branded.

I have never been able to locate anyone in Houston that will even entertain the idea of any glass but their local cheap junk.

So I need a vendor for the glass please - and if there are any Houston folks (Clear Lake if possible), any local installers that will work with me on this...

Can anyone say another video - cowl and windscreen....

Thanks!

Pilkington is the OE. Cowl is just the OE LR branded part. I think it's around $130.

There's no more safety inspections anymore. Just emissions.
Cracked windshield won't fail the inspection.

Those side covers are critical to get right and the windshield needs to be set perfectly. My windshield didn't get lined up perfectly so when there is a side-wind on the freeway the pillar covers make noise.

See the thread below - one thing worth noting if you don't get the right windshield will be a couple new DTC codes as well as some issues if you have AFS (and the auto wiper and auto high beam assist functions).

My lessons learned - replace with an OEM windshield.
