I would be interested but want to verify all the details first. My LR3 still has about a year on its factory, and 12k miles. One of the FAQ's I read on the Zeigler website indicated that all their warranties start from the vehicle's first purchase date, not after the factory warranty expires. It would be interesting to see what they send you in writing, and the difference in price on the other deductibles.
I just spoke with a local Ford dealership regarding the Ford PremiumCare ESP and was quoted $3600 for 7yr/100k from initial purchase date (so adding 3-4 years for me and 50k miles) with a $100 deductible. That seems to be the standard rate quote I've seen since August 2010. He also told me that FEB-APR (in there somewhere) is when Ford raises the prices on their extended service plans.

Food for thought.

I have 48 on the clock now and am looking at a 4 year 48k Ford Warranty for those same numbers at the dealership in Colorado, havn't called Ziegler yet. I would assume that someone would have said something if I was about to spend 3 grand on something that has already expired.

I finally bought it last week. I'm in an 05 LR3 with 48 on the clock. You will probably be a little cheaper to cover since you are a year newer. For a total of $3,135 I got the Ford ESP PremiumCare, $100 deductibles, for 4 year 48,000 more miles. There's no tax, but there is a finance charge if you choose to finance it for the provided periods of either 11 or 17 months (was going to buy it outright but I found a Triumph Spitfire that I have to have  )

Call Longmont Ford in Longmont, CO. (303) 776 3600. Ask for Chas, he works everyday except Wednesdays. He was awesome to deal with and answered every question that I had.

It begins from the day you buy the warranty, not the date it was first purchased.

According to Chas, Dana at Ziegler Ford is a liar (sorry delcoquito), the car needs to go to a Ford Dealer for them to determine whether or not they want to pay to take it to Land Rover... you can't just take it anywhere you want. :hmpf: . But, they do cover rental cars while you are in the shop.

*I called Dana to ask her why she was telling people that the car can be repaired anywhere and other dealershipS told me I had to go right to Ford? She said she would get the answer and call me back, but she didn't. I've read stories and heard however that Ford is good about covering things in special circumstances if you take it right to a LR Dealer*

Don't hate, just passing on what was told to me. If anyone finds out that the car can go right to Land Rover with an ESP Warranty please speak up, I would be a happy camper.

I will give them a call next week as well. my factory is up in a few months and 1000$ is nothing to sneeze at. Maybe if we all call them with the same question then we can make sure they are all telling us the same story and if they are lying... Class action... :argh:

I have ESP and to date, my truck is always serviced at the LR dealer- they take care of everything. There is no need to visit a Ford store for the ESP warranty.

So, not to beat a dead horse, but this Ford ESP warranty, canit be purchased from any supplier and used at any dealer - within the above parameters?
I ask because I contacted a local Ford dealership and got a quote for the Ford PremiumCare ESP. I'm still under warranty but all the options available to me had an inception date of when the vehicle was first sold, running concurrently with my dealer factory warranty. In order to get the most extension my only option was the 7 year/100k mile warranty, which gives me an additional 3 years and approximately 50k miles. With the $100 deductible I was quoted $3655. That's a difference from what is listed above, both in years/miles and price. Thus my question.

I'm stating the obvious but has anyone called a LR dealership and see what they offer?:albertein
