Extremes are an older bulb and I don't think they come in H11. I used these for high beams and they are yellowish in color and not as bright as the latest CV ultras. But now that Philips makes the CV ultra in H7 for high beams I'm replacing the Xtremes.

Hey Stephen,

I ordered my CV H7s yesterday and they should arrive on Saturday. I am planning to change my fog lights and high beams on Saturday so I will have low beams, fogs, and high beams all switched out to CVs.

Any advice on changing the fog lights? I think I read back on here somewhere that you need to take out the 3 screws in order and put them in the exact same order. I have the manual, so hopefully it's easy enough.

I'll let you know how it goes!

Did the bottom of the package say 12362cv s2? I just got mine and it has the 12362 right under the H11, but the actual number printed on the bottom of the packaging.

Rob
Hey Rob,

Yes, the bottom says "12362 S2" and are exactly the same as my previous H11 bulbs, with the exception that the orange circle on the front of the package says "H11 - CVS2" and not "H11 - 12362" as my last package had on it. The bulbs are identical as well as the labels on the bottom, it's just that front label is slightly different. It must just be different packaging, but they are the same. Baobay also noticed this as well.

I just upgraded my low and high beams! I was so hesitant to do this on my own, but all the posts here made me confident I could get it done.

Took about 20 minutes with 3 kids running around me - removing the actual bulbs was different from the manual, but I eventually got that figured out. Second one took less than 5 minutes.

If you have been hesitant to do this - you shouldn't be. So glad I did, the difference in color is superb...I can't wait til dark to take it out and see the difference!!

Hey starrover,

Awesome, so glad we could be of help. I was the same way as you, but the guys on this discussion group were great at setting my mind at ease. Are you going to do your fog lights with the H11s as well? It looks awesome as well - definitely a difference from the yellowish OEM bulb. I am also upgrading my side lights with the LED light mentioned in another post. Once I'm all done, I will take some pics!

Hey guys I have been reading this thread and am getting ready to make the "leap" and get these replacement lights. The question I have is why hasn't anyone with the stock halogens replaced them with and actual HID Xenon bulb? Is there more to this conversion than just replacing the halogen with the CV bulb that "looks" like an HID bulb? Thanks.

Holy crap! I just ordered the H11 and H7's for replacement. I'm going to need some help. I was able to find the youtube video of the guy changing out the bulbs but I think that was an LR3. Is it the same for the '11 LR4? They should be here by the weekend. I am going to change the Low, High, and Fogs.

The HID lights need to be driven with balast to power them on and then to regulate the flow of electricity so the light output stays uniform. Simply swapping in the HID bulb just won't work.
