My wife got her new LR4 Lux this week and is loving it. She is getting used to start/stop but it does not seem like there is anyway to keep the electronics on when stopped longer than 10 minutes, even if we turn off the eco-button. Anyone have any ideas?

The have the entertainment system and want to watch a movie longer than 10 minutes without having to physically move the vehicle.

I assume this is with the engine off? I did notice that the other day when I was playing with the electronics in a '14 on the showroom floor at my dealer. I also have this on my MDX. It is intended to save the battery which I suspect will not last for a movie. With my Acura MDX I tried to upload music CDs onto its hard drive one after another. After 30 minutes I and pretty much killed my battery and had to get a jump.

Correct - with engine off. Makes sense on saving battery but wish you could override. Guess we could always start the car after 9 minutes. I found similar posts on the Evoque board so seems LR4s are not alone.

I was under the impression that it just killed things when it senses the battery voltage to down. I've seen this happen sitting with the lights on and engine off before, it will **** the headlights.

After it shuts off, if you push the power button on the head unit, the entertainment system will turn back on... for another 10 minutes. No need to restart the vehicle or cycle the ignition button. You don't even need the key to be in the car. You can keep doing that until the battery juice is too low, then the car will display a "Battery Low" warning message on the touchscreen and go to sleep for good, until you restart the engine.
