Just got off the phone with BFG and they insist that according to their tables, 55 PSI on those KO2s is correct based on the recommended PSIs on the door, the wheel size, tire size and load.
I don't pretend to have fully absorbed the mathematics involved, but from what I understand they take what's on the door plate, translate the OE tire size and PSIs into load requirements, look them up in their tables for the new tire/size and come up with the PSI. Given that the KO2s are a light truck tire designed to carry the weight of a much heavier vehicle, the increase in PSI is to keep those tires at a level where they can correctly support the translated load while wearing evenly. I think I got that right....
Torque is 103, I believe (from my digging around these forums and others... my local tire shop said 102... close enough).
