have problem with my 1996 discovery. when i hit a bump the steering wheel shakes. i have replaced steering stablizer, all 4 tie rods. it is better but still shakes. any suggestions. i thought it might be shocks, but not sure. if anyone can help i will be grateful.

Either pan hard rod bushings, or swivel preload.

I have the same problem with a 2006 Range Rover Sport... I've taken to dealership in Peoria Illinois TWICE and found nothing wrong.

Talk about an old thread being bumped. You ever get the shaking it fixed?

I had the exact same problem on my 1997. A cast iron bracket mounted on the frame near the steering box broke clean off, on the road! Somewhere I have the broken part and will post a photo of it.

Just the bracket fix took care of the shaking? Easy fix then?
