Turns out that it was a heat shield a little out of wack and vibrating at certain times. I had done the tsb for the transfer case weight prior to having it in the shop and up on the lift so I don’t know if that “helped” the situation or not. Hope this helps someone in the future

Dont you hate it when you think there was something actually wrong with your car then its something as stupid as a heat shield?

The transfer case weight helped me out a lot.

Which heat shield was it? I’m chasing down a similar sound.

When I picked the truck up i unfortunately was in a rush and didn’t have time to ask. I’m sure any of them can make the same sound as the driveline is what’s vibrating and they extend down the length of it. I would try to get it up on a lift to see.
