Sweet Rig! How much were those? I have 19" as well. Got a 4th of July deal last year at Walmart that will never happen again. $110 a piece for Cooper LTZ.

I 've had Toyo Open Road's before, but they were not off road. I wasnt even aware. Good to know there is hope yet.

No kidding, I ordered two sets from Walmart last year for the LR3 and LR4. Deals like that never happen.

Just picked up the new TOYO Open Country AT3 for our 2013 LR4 with the challenging 19 rims. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Conti Terrain Contact A/T when I saw the new AT3 was being offered in 255/55/19.

I think they look great and so far they have been great on the road. No adventures yet! Some beach cruising scheduled later in the month, for now we’ll be pounding some pavement.

No noticeable road noise.

They are offering 500 mile returns for these new tires. I’m 200 miles in and can’t find a reason to return them yet!

Here’s some pics.

Great looking tire. Dave, who is offering the 500 mile return? And do you notice any vibration or are they smooth?

Thank you,

Rob

I just researched and it looks like the return policy is by Toyo not a specific installer. It's detailed on their site. Looks like a pretty good deal ; as long as they are installed at a Toyo dealer than can be returned for a full refund.

How does that work, then? I guess you need to have a backup set of tires on order or otherwise hope they have them in stock if you want to return your Toyos.

Not to second guess your decision with the 55 profile, but did you see if 255/60R19 would fit as they have these listed as well for the 19”

Hey all, sorry for raising this from the dead, but it's about the exact tire I'm looking to buy and figured it best to piggy back off it.

I've been tempted to get 18" compos for a loooong time, but think I'm going to stick with my 19" OEM rims as they look way nicer (imo), lower cost ofc, and I don't want to deflate the spare or move it elsewhere (atm). Trying to keep my rig as stock as possible for now.

Currently have the Conti's and want to get a set of ATs. Looks like a consensus that these 255/55/19 Toyo Open Country AT3s are a good replacement. Has anyone tried the 255/60/19 version?
Store websites indicate they don't match my vehicle, but maybe that's because they're basing their criteria on the stock tire that ships with the LR4. I do plan to get one of these sizes, and was looking for any new info that would sway me to either the 55 or 60 size. Thanks!

I'm running the 255/60/19 and am happy with them so far. They seem more capable than I am comfortable with when going on trails, and did well in snow too though I've only done that a few times so far. The spare is a tight fit fully inflated, but will sinch in - I had to use the lug wrench to pry it out however when lowering it this past weekend (5000 mile rotation). The 60 profile should not have any issues if you drop to the bumpstops for whatever reason. They are a touch taller than the 55's, but I haven't noticed any rubbing. I got mine through Discount Tire and they listed them as compatible with my 2012 LR4.

Super helpful, thank you ftillier!
I just measured and with stock wheels I have about 3" - 3.5" to spare on the garage entrance height (have ext roof rails + OEM cross bars). So while it'll be a closer fit, I'm thinking I'll be able to swing it. Having the spare fit in the POR space is important, so I really appreciate you adding that detail.
