Looking to find a good quality for price skid plate for the front of my LR4. It seems they raised the prices on lucky8 for the “front Guard” anyone know where I could get a good quality one for less expensive?

I have the Asfir aluminum skids.

Don't get the transmission skid. I could never get it to fit. Maybe it fits on an LR3? No clue. Doesn't fit a petrol LR4, though.

wow, for the price of this thing it covers a lot. It’s less expensive then any of the other ones I’ve seen but yet covers more. Thanks!!!

Some questions, does this fit over the factory engine skid plate, or will I have to remove it and replace it with this one? Does this come with all the bolts needed?

PS: could you include some pictures of the front of your LR4, I’d like to see how it looks.

I removed the factory engine skid. I think it came with all the bolts.

It's probably been 3 or 4 years since I put it on, so I hardly remember. There's a thread on here somewhere with pictures. I think Umberto had the same skids for a while. His might be the one in the photos on the Asfir site.

If the L8's are steel, the price increase makes sense. Steel has increased in price roughly 20% over the last few months.

Just replace the oem with the asfir skid plate. It comes with all the bolts.

This is what it looks like on a LR4 petrol and had no issues installing it. Took a few hits on the trail and still looks good. Can't say the same about my Frontrunner skid, but that one took a huge hit.

How long ago was this? Any chance it’s been updated since?

Three or four years ago. i don't believe it's been redesigned, but I'm not sure.

I have the asfir skids, all of them fit on my '11 LR4, except I don't have the rear diff. I should have got it too, but my exhaust pipes keep taking the hit.

Thanks. I was going to order, but will ask about the fitment issue you had first.

Which one did you use instead? And what did you do for the compressor?
