Sold my old LR4 with blizzaks, so time to get snow tires for the new one.

I live in Denver, but most of the driving I'll be doing in the winter will be on highways that are plowed but have an inch or two of that weird slush / packed snow mix. Or just generally packed snow in town.

I see the Scorpion Winter is available in 255/55/19XL (111 load rating). Has anyone tried this tire on their LR3/4 ?

Thanks!

Hello,
I’ve try these and they are not the best. I love in Quebec City with lot of snow during the winter. The best you can buy if you don’t want studded tires is the Nokian Hakka R3 SUV. I’m using studded Nokian Hakka 9 and they are fantastic on both my LR3 2006 and Range Rover 2016.

Good luck.

I've had Nokian Hakka SUV (2's, I believe) since 2013 and they are awesome. It's unstoppable with these on.

Thinking about getting a set of NOKIAN WR G4 SUV (19s) as a set of all-seasons. Living in NJ it seams like they are a fair comprise between snow and summer performance. Anyone have any recent first hand experience/feedback with these or can recommend another alternative. No real off roading. Car spends majority of it's life commuting to and from work. Pavement performance is the priority but would be nice to have decent performance for the occasional overlanding trips

Lots of posts on this forum about the G4. They are technically not "all seasons" but rather "all weather;" difference being they perform much better in the snow than a typical all season.

Here's one thread:
