Apparently there’s an issue with air conditioner refrigerant pressure according to my GAP tool. Any idea what causes this or potential solutions?

You can use the GAP tool to pull up the refrigerant pressure. Should help you diagnose a bit more.

For that DTC, a few things need to be checked.

Test the refrigerant system for proper freon charge.
Check the condenser and hoses for damage or restriction.
Test the air conditioning fan for correct operation. With the engine off, should spin with some slight resistance. With the engine running, should have good air flow.
You can install a new refrigerant pressure sensor as necessary. Those rarely fail though.
More than likely, you will have to install a new HVAC control module.

Issue persists after I had a shop evac the refrigerant and recharge. Compressor clutch isn’t engaging. Funny though, tech said system was full & didn’t need any refrigerant.

He thinks it’s an electrical issue and we checked fuse but it was good.

I had an issue like this last summer. I had my compressor and condenser replaced and everything. Worked perfect for a couple of months and then this happened. They replaced the HVAC control module and that solved it.
