What is hanging?

google it. i've read it's something to do with body vibration and reducing it. They are peculiar though!

They're designed to eliminate vibration in the frame and absorb noise. They reduced the frame density to save weigh and increase mpg. Then they have to add these back in to compensate for the increased vibration from a lighter frame. So much for mpg gain.

eh...I get tired of the bullish "go google it" response. I come here for answers all the time that get better context and discussion than some random internet search result. If you can't ask others a question, what's the point?

when I first bought my LR4 I called the dealership and asked. they had one of the techs put an LR4 up on a lift and invited me to point out what I was talking about. they said the same thing, reduce noise and road vibration. not quite sure how it actually works but who am I to argue

Did they charge you an hour of labour and misc. shop material fee?
