So I purchased the SYA kit from lucky 8. Seems pretty straight forward. However there were 4 brackets that came with it that I have no idea what to do with. 3 are the same, 1 is slightly different. Anyone know?

I don't even know what a SYA kit does, but the one that is different is a mirror image of the other three. Knowing nothing, I can only come up with two theories:

1) The sheet metal blank on all are the same (fact) and the supplier simply made a mistake and bent the tabs in the other direction on one of the parts, or
2) Something about its application requires that (weridly) on one of the four the tabs go in the other direction to avoid interference with something.

Good luck. But I am curious as well.

They serve to keep the straps from rubbing on the strut cylinders or other items.

If you call lucky 8 they can walk you through exactly where they go.

You want to use them.

I can't describe it from memory as it has been so long since I installed mine. I'm out of town for the holiday, but I can try and post some pictures when I return if you haven't figured it out by then.

Eta:. Found some pictures lucky 8 sent me when I was installing mine.

Some of it is coming back to me as I think about it.

The rears attach to the knuckle bolt as shown in the first picture I posted above.

They are different, but will only fit on the side they are intended for. When they are installed correctly, the flanges surround the strap, and are also prevented from rotating out of position on the control arm.
