I am having to drive into a new job on the interstate and am getting a strange vibration. It is very clearly on the passenger side front. Happens at all speeds under moderate load. If I am slow speed, moderate speed, or highway speed and gently/moderately accelerate, it will create a shudder that feels and sounds like rough road/wake up bumps from the front right wheel. If I let off the gas it immediately disappears. If I strongly accelerate it also immediately disappears. If I am using the cruise it's much less or not there even under acceleration. Finally, as an example, at say 70mph and moderate to light acceleration, it rumbles for a second or so then clean for half a second, then rubles for a second, then clean for a half a second. No popping or clunking that I can hear when it happens or on any turning tight or not. It is not felt through the steering wheel although when slowing from a high speed I do get steering wheel wobble which I believe is a different issue but mentioning it in case it is related. Wheels are balanced BTW, are they properly balanced who knows with tire shops any more. Hope this weird situation makes sense, any suggestions on what and how to check are appreciated. Thanks!

Steering wheel wobble is almost always related to a wheel balance issue. A reoccurring wheel vibration during a certain MPH range is almost certainly related to a wheel out of balance. If both are happening at the same MPH range (especially when accelerating)--it is definitely a wheel out of balance. Although rare, I've seen wheel weights laying on the side of the road that dislodged, presumably from hitting a large pothole. Another cause could be loose lug nuts. If you wrench on your own vehicle, lift the front of the vehicle, remove the affected wheel, then use a long prybar or both your hands to shake on suspension components and see if anything is loose. Make sure you use Jack stands!!! If you don't work on your own vehicle, take it to a shop for a wheel balance (not an expensive job) and have them do the inspection "while they're in there".

I was thinking possible wheel balance but it across ranges of speed and ranges of rpm. It's usually only if I accelerate moderately, that could be 1400rpm when going 35 and under or 2400rpm highway, it will just start sounding like a rumble strip that is intermittent. Rumble for a second then not for half a second then rumble for a second then not for half a second. If I accelerate hard in the middle of it then it instantly goes away. If I am on the highway in cruise it generally doesn't happen as much if at all. Hope that clarifies and makes sense.

You say front right, but I wonder if that's an illusion and it's actually your drive shaft carrier that's allowing the drive shaft to wobble...

I have a 2014 LR4 and I’ve just recently started noticing this odd vibration that feels identical to the car being driven over rumble strips.
The first time it happened I could’ve sworn it was the road.
The second time, I was on the highway and it was relatively new asphalt, so it had to be the vehicle.
I’ve randomly noticed it twice after that, took it to my local shop, but they couldn’t reproduce it.
One additional odd thing is that the last time it happened, I threw in Neutral on the gearbox, and the vibration persisted.
No codes present to explain the behavior either.
Still very puzzled.
