We drive a 2000 DII. Yesterday my wife got in to drive it and the A/C is not working. When you turn the ignition to start you can hear the fan under the hood start but when she starts it no blown A/C. The control unit on the dash is still lit up and is usually set on LO and fastest fan speed, We live in Phoenix Arizona!!!!!, and it seems the control panel is still functional. If you turn the control panel off the fan in engine comp will stop. If the control panel is off I can feel a smal trickle of cold air coming from the vents. Also if you adjust the fan speed you can hear clicking from under the dash, passenger side where the blower motor is.
This morning I checked all the related fuses to A/C and blowers and they all seem fine.
Have been doing some reading on the forums here and was wondering if it could be the fan switch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers....
Update...Just drove vehicle. With control panel on LO and fan at highest speed the faster I go the air will blow cold but not at speed it used to. At idle it is barely noticeable. Hope this helps....
