For the serviced struts, I would expect longevity issues vs new, but they may be fine too. I'd be interested in hearing back on how they do, I don't have first hand experience.

I hear the Land Rover brand struts can last a long time and that is what I'm getting if the time ever comes. They look very strong, well built like they didn't f around and made them to last. I've got 115k mi now and as long as I don't jump it or do something stupid then I'm hoping to get 50-100k more out of them.
My LR3 is still using it's original air struts and I'm at 250k miles. The ride is not as cushy as my LR4 but still very good.

Car has a total of 140K miles on it now.
I had previously replaced both rear strut/bags with OEM (BWI) due to a leak in one of the bags.
I figured my 'wallowing' was due to the front struts having worn out. Rather than replacing bag+strut; I went the cheaper route of replacing just the struts with Bilsteins.
Turned out the original struts were in not too bad a shape. Rebound was acceptable. The new struts haven't made much of a difference and I'm still chasing the loose feeling in the car. I did the LCAs last year due to the bushes having worn out (again). Upper control arms seem fine. Still trying to pinpoint my wallowing :).

starting to get a bit of chop in my front right wheel. Haven't gotten a chance to get the truck above ground to inspect but I'm guessing it is either the bushing that sits in between the strut and the lower control arm (which isn't a serviceable/replaceable item) or it's the lower control arms (think I have about 60-70k on these ones). in the event of the of it being the strut bushing I'm thinking about swapping to the Bilsteins but I'm curious about the performance. How have you liked them so far? also did you go with the B4 oe replacement or the yellow B6 4600 series?

I went with the B4 OE replacement. Performance seems fine. As I mentioned, the original strut appears fine when I disassembled the it so I really didn't notice much difference. Can't beat the price though.
