I can't see it either????? He asked about turning off the folding mirrors feature when you lock the truck.

The upcoming IIDTool for Disco/LR4 will allow you to turn automatic mirrors foldback on and off. Otherwise, you will have to have that feature disabled (or re-enabled) at the dealer via diagnostics, since it requires modification of the Car Configuration File.

I have asked my dealer to do that on my last three LR's, but they said they can't do it.

They can't do it for free or they can't do it at all?

According to my (beta version) IIDTool, in the CCF the "Foldback Mirrors" option can be set as "Undefined", "Not fitted", "Fitted" or "Fitted w/ Logic". If you select Fitted, the mirrors fold and unfold only when pushing the buttons on the driver's door. The default here in NA seems to be "Fitted w/ Logic" however, which also folds them automatically when you lock the doors, and unfolds them when you unlock. It should be easy for a tech to change that option with diagnostics. Maybe your dealer is just lazy.

Thanks for the info... I want the "fitted" selection. I will talk to them tomorrow.

I will say, that the seat belt chime can still be defeated by turning the ignition on, without starting the car, and plugging and unplugging the seat belt 10 times quickly until you hear a confimation chime...

I guess the thread fairy stopped by and magically made all missing posts appear. She is a beauty, Vf430. Is the Rubicon yours too?

I love the white LR4 with the black design package - looks awesome. That's my next truck! :)

PALR4,

is this a temporary or permanent fix? i would love to be able to disable the passenger seat chime for when my dog decides he wants to sit shotgun...

Well... It's continuous until you do the same thing to turn the seat belt chime back on. I can't remember if if you had to do the passenger seat seperately. I have only done the drivers seat...
