Combining spare-on-bumper with bike rack

An additional query: has anyone used Terrafirma as opposed to Front Runner? Pros, cons?
Likewise, any experience with the Tactical 4x4 rear bumper? It looks preferable to Kaymar’s.

I recently put on the Terrafirma tire carrier and I'm digging it a lot. I combined it with a titan fuel tank.

I'm sure you can put water instead. There's a printed gas label on the side, but you can place a water sticker over it to let others know it's content.

There's a few mods that you have to do to make it fit properly since it was built for a jeep 5x5 bolt pattern. I got a pair of 5x5 to 5x120 25mm wheel adapter, which happened to be a smidge too thin. I ended up chopping the wheel studs on the tank and got shorter lug nuts and now it sits perfectly. I other than minor mods to get it fully functional, it's awesome. I remove it when I'm not off roading.

Just get a swing out bike rack. I just sold mine 3 weeks ago. It was an older yakima 4 bike carrier that swings out at 90 and 180 degrees. The rack base also rotates 90 degrees so the bikes will be parallel to the side of the truck.

Thanks so much @djkaosone! I’m not much of a DYI man myself but I can show your description to my local offroad garage and they’ll know what to do with it. Would you put potable water in this tank, though, or only for the shower? I mean is it food-grade plastic?

I like Yakima as a brand and I'm thinking about getting that same bike carrier. Thule makes one too.

Exactly, I’m looking at Thule as well but can’t find any in stock, while Yakima there is, and here in Europe, too, no need to import it from the US. I also found an interesting French brand, Mottez. Their on-spare model looks less appealing (has straps that go under the chassis) but they have some tow-bar models that I’ll consider. Especially that those allow for 3 bikes, not just 2.
