Extended Warranty a good idea or just a great idea?

Hi! I am the proud excited new owner of a 2008 LR3 SE. Went looking for a new LR2 for my wife but ended getting this beautiful beast last week with 11500 miles (demo/loaner). For $35G and perfect condition I couldn't let it pass. I must admit that I have always loved the LR's. But this is my first used car since 1992 (always leased). But I am wondering if the extended warranty is the way to go?. My local LR/Jag/Volvo dealer uses Zurich for their ext. warranty. I have 21 months left of original LR warranty but I am considering getting the extended warranty. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. I have heard that reliability can be an issue

Welcome to the forum. I would highly recommend an extended warranty on any newer computerized vehicle. But I would research and buy aftermarket from someone other than the dealer, unless they are giving you a real good deal on the price.
