self charging battery. you cant take those remotes apart they are "water proof" And that my friend is true.

Sorry for the second post, but the new FOB is not waterproof either. They are also extreemly expensive, so try to make sure you don't let yours go through the washing machine or get thrown in a pool while at a party.

Thank you guys...I took the key fob apart as soon as I got the key....
only like about the weight, feels solid. but don't seems to be waterproof ......

I have washed my MINI and lr3 fob a lot... just make sure I don't wash this one...lucky so far..
