Hello ya'll,
hope to learn a lot from the other Disco 1 owners out there. Have a 1997 Disco 1 with 180 thousand miles, engine stalls when it gets warm. Did a complete tune up but still does it, I am suspecting the ECTS. Anyone encounter this problem? thanks

Welcome to the forum...

Provide more info... last tune up and what was done and when.

Has the fuel filter been changed? If so how long ago?

Original fuel pump?

stalling 1997 Disco 1

Joey,
thanks for replying. I tuned it up ten days ago. changed spark plugs, ignition wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil, oil filter and flushed fuel lines. tested fuel pressure and got 34 psi, I do have the original fuel pump.I talked to a mechanic and he thinks that it could be the coolant temperature sensor because it only acts up when the engine is hot. any ideas?

Coolant temp is possible, but if it shows correct on the dash it is doubtful... what plugs did you use?

used regular Bosch plugs, just like the originals.

Original plugs were champions... this may be the issue. Cheap Champions.
