Installing new external mirror

My wife cracked the passenger side external mirror on our 2005 LR3 HSE. Looks like the bracket holding the mirror broke as well (the casing is intact).

Is this something I can install myself, or does it need to be done by the dealer (they want 1hr's worth o' cash to do it)...

Its a DIY-er. Its a little cramped, but not a big deal. I haven't done one on an LR3, but I have on a MINI. It only took me about 30 minutes. The reason the dealer said one hour is because that is the minimum. I would start by removing the broken mirror. Then if you feel uncomfortable going further, just swing by the dealer.
