That's ridiculous. I don't have an iPhone - I use an ancient iPod Classic hardwired to the car for music, and an Android handset connected via Bluetooth as a phone (can't stream audio via Bluetooth currently, but this seems to be an issue with the handset, a Moto Razr Maxx HD), but I will be happy to steal my wife's iPhone 5 for a few minutes to see if the problem has been corrected on my 2013 with Logic 7.

It's really not that big of a deal. I'm usually listening to a playlist and I can just skip ahead, if I like. It's just silly that you can't do both. For some odd reason, the BT overrides the hardwire connection. It's a silly engineering mistake.

On the bright side, I can play Pandora seamlessly and advance from the touchscreen.

I keep amy 160g iPod plugged into my car and then use my phone for its blue tooth. Haven't had any issues with this arrangement.

It only occurs if they phone is plugged in and trying to run both music and the bluetooth. I can hook my iPad up if I wanted to. I just don't want the hassle of having two devices because LR engineers are stupid.

True, fortunately or unfortunately, I have more music than my phone holds. Having the 160g iPod helps me save money on phones as I only get the 16g models.

It's an "iPod" input. So the design is most likely, plug in your iPod and Bluetooth your phone. Not plug in your iPhone and Bluetooth it st the same time.

Sparrky, there's both an "iPod" and "Aux" input. You should be able to run your "iPod" without canceling it's bluetooth capability, no? Either way, it doesn't work in either plug in. It's a bad design.

Okay, here's my situation.

2013 LR4 HSE

I plug my iPhone 4s into the "iPod" connector in the arm rest. I can play music via the cable and browse artists, albums, playlists, etc via the touch-screen.

Also, my phone works while it is plugged in, handsfree. I can take and make calls via the touchscreen, with the phone plugged in. It does interrupt the music that is playing via the iPhone while I am on a call. I can dial via the touch screen, browse contacts, etc. and also use the phone buttons on the steering wheel.

So I guess my version of the LR4 software works properly.
