Gotcha. I don't have a kind view of light bars since I get blinded quite regularly by the jacked up F350 Brodozer lit up going the other way on a 2 lane. AT the very least tie it into the high beams with a master switch.
I have the factory installed high beams. How do these compared with that, if anyone knows. I know when I have mine on, it's like being in a football stadium. I've considered swapping them for after market brands, but not sure it's worth it.
I have this light bar mounted to the front of my Front Runner rack. I have the amber led's wired straight into my marker lights and I LOVE the look of it. I wired the main leds into my high beams and kept the separate switch inline so I can turn it on and off only if my high beams are on.

I agree with others who warn against roof mounted light bars for any driving purpose unless they are far enough back to not shine on the hood at all. I had a roof mounted lightbar on a D2 but it was almost worthless while driving because of hood reflection. It was awesome as a work light if I needed to get out and clear debris from the road etc. Also, I personally get really annoyed when I meet someone with their light bar connected to either high or low beam on the street. It's very inconsiderate - and illegal. A front mounted lightbar is the way to go for trails.
