Crud. :(
My '03 Disco is now stuck in limp home mode with both the Sports and Manual mode warning lights flashing continuously... I've turned it off and let it sit overnight in *hopes* it would reset itself but with no luck... :( I suppose I better go get a code reader from someplace and try to determine what the problem is so I can shop around for a repair.

My question is where should I look for a code reader that'll work for a '03 Disco and what should it cost approximately? Would Autozone, NAPA or Checker sell one? (They didn't even have windshield wiper refills for my car..lol!)

Thanks for ANY advice!

Try going to Autozone and ask to rent an OBD II reader. It will 'cost' 180 bux or so, but you can return it whenever and get the money back. Its like an extended lease. It plugs right into a socket that is under the drivers dash, in easy reach as required by the 1996 law. Are any other warning lights on? Like Service Engine? I am not sure about the 'newer' Discos, so I cant help much...

Shannon Autozone guys will take the store reader out to your car and test it provided that you can get it to the parking lot. I bought my OBDII reader on Ebay for about $50.00.
