i have never had a rover before this one,i was wondering if you can weld the rear up like you can a chevy 12 bolt.will it causr transfer case damage.never had a full time awd before it is a 96 d1 old man emu hd springs,265 tires d2 front drive shaft with spacer.i cant afford a arb air locker,and a rear locker would keep me going when the suspencion maxes out

Is this for off road only? If not, welding would be a bad idea. Personally I would save my money and get a locker that you can disengage when not needed. An auto locker will **** things, a weld or spool will **** things fast.

Agree, unless off road use only never weld the gears...

There is also detroits and true tracks available as lockers....my preference is arb though.
