Is there a strainer under the cap and if so was it hard to remove? Brake flush is on my list, but my rotors are getting old and I'm considering replacing the soft brake lines after 14 years...

No strainer. There is a wire to the sensor integrated into the cap, the wire must be disconnected first. Then the cap comes out with a float assembly. But, no strainer in sight.

JLR says to replace the hoses every 75kmi or something crazy like that. But the hoses are expensive, like $80-$100 each IIRC? And, they look like a RPITA to replace as well. Not easy to access the hart pipe on the chassis, up front it's tucked against the frame rail. Forgot to eyeball the rear. Visually, my 2010 hoses still looked fine at 165kmi, no cracks or other signs of wear/aging.

I've done several brake bleeds on this car. It's no different than any other car. You can do it the old school way with someone on the pedal or by pressurizing the reservoir (making sure to not run low and get air in the system). I recently replaced the rear rigid brake lines due to corrosion and got tons of air in the system, so I had to use the GAP Tool's setting to purge the system including the ABS module. It worked well but it was a bit quirky. Link here: https://www.landroverworld.org/thre...ed-help-with-info-on-parts.48911/#post-259164
