The glove box lamp socket is held in place by two plastic clips, one around the on/off push button and one just to the right of the button. After dropping the glove box to the service position, you can release both clips with your fingertips, then you have to wiggle the loose socket a little bit back and forth, left and right behind the plastic panel to get it to line up and fall down through the opening to access the bulb. Patience needed. The wiring is long enough and does not need to be disconnected, which means you probably want to do this about 10 minutes after opening the doors and glove box, so the bulb has turned off and cooled down and you don't burn your fingers while attempting to dislodge it from up there. I used a small screwdriver to gently pry the old bulb out of the socket (not enough room to grab the glass with my big fat fingers and pull it out), then just pushed the LED bulb in the socket. Repeat in reverse to reinstall, line up and push both clips through their respective holes until they click in place. It helps to have Cinderella hands, but it's not a very difficult process.
However, my front doors LEDs wouldn't turn on, no matter how many times I opened and closed the doors, locked and unlocked them, started and stopped the engine. Go figure, but I had to put the old incandescent ones back on. Everywhere else - rear doors included - the LEDs work great. Oh well, I have a 2013 as well. Maybe some LEDs are more forgiving than some others.
