well here is what 15k mile annual oil intervals gets you - from blackstone oil analysis:

"This is a very clean first report for your Discovery. Wear metals are a little lower than we've found on average from these 5.0L engines, and you ran the oil pretty close to the average interval of about 7,900 miles. That means your engine is wearing a little better than the other ones we have tested, and it will have no problem with an extended oil change interval. The TBN of 2.4 shows some additive left for more use (1.0 is too low), the oil filter easily kept up with insolubles, holding them to just 0.1%. Resample in about 9,000 miles to start wear trends."

Hence my decision to swap oil every six months and filter yearly. I probably should back my oil off to yearly as well.

Based on the analysis id easily go back to 15k mile intervals...

I think I’m in on that one. Only issue for me is I usually get my tires rotated at oil changes. Which would push that out

12/7/18 85,534 - right front heights sensor and strut 2,067
1/2/19 86,684 - oil change, spark plugs, parking light 968
1/7/19 87,432 - control arm and shock 1,535
6/17/19 94,080 - Oil change, EBC green front and rear pads 500
9/4/19 97,500 - Trunk actuator 300
10/2/19 98,580 - Install new running boards 1,200

my total since delivered new in oct 2013 is $16,210. as i wld have expected, aside from tires the brakes and suspension are the biggest costs.

112k upper control arms and main drive pulleys and tensioner

Slight valve tap sound so doing the chain and tensioners also
