- couple bottles of water (helps driver and can be used as short time solution for any liquid in truck, except for petrol)
- tool roll with wrenches, grip pliers, small break bar (literally - its like 1.5 palm)
- fire extinguisher (never go out without one)
- tie-downs
- hi-lift & hi-lift recovery kit + 20' towing strap with hooks
- assortment of electrical tape, duct tape, small roll of assorted silicone hooses (about 15$ at your local autozone)
- shop towels, bunch of vinyl gloves, toilet paper roll (hey, you never know)
- spare clothes, blanket (and again .. must be ready :))
- first aid kit
- CO2 tank and accugauge
- huge X shaped wrench for wheel lugnuts
- DeLorme maps
- GPS, cell phone, FRS (when i can remember about it)
- huge rain poncho
- signal flares
- breaking glow bar (you know, one that you break and it glows for like 10 hours)
- waterproof matches
- small swiss toolset with all them knives, pliers & etc.

and usual stuff like camera, food, blah blah.

Now there will be ARB joining the line :)

Yes, you can tell i am freak of nature, carrying all this stuff. Need to add spare fan belt, though. Keep forgetting about it.

Tool kit.

i always carry with me on and off road the following items......

Hi-lift jack
assorted strops and shackles
12v compressor
metric/imperial ratchet spanners
Leatherman
petzl head torch
4lb lump hammer
wheel brace
selection of sockets and socket wrench

5 litres oil
5 litres water
20 litres fuel (must get the tank sender units replaced)
brake fluid
radweld

roll of kitchen paper
box of examination gloves
roll of gaffer (duct) tape
cable ties

2 spare fuses (joys of driving a 30 year old landie, only four fuses in the box)
spare bulbs
Hi-vis vest and warning triangle
selection of bungy cords

fire extinguisher
trauma/first aid pack

then there's the extra's

goretex waterproofs
digicam
mobile (cell) phone
gps

Think i'm covered for most eventualities, especially seeing as i live on an island a touch under a thousand miles long and at it's widest point around five hundred.

4 lb. mallet I carry is for any sheet metal "adjustments" (bumpers, mainly) necessary on the trail. It's nice for pounding tent stakes in too

With Roy's item list just about covers everything from a flat tire to a complete rebuild. That is amazing. I really need to compile a comprehensive "toolkit".
