New Member.. Hello

Well I'm a new member here and this looks to be the best site I've seen for Land Rovers. I just took delivery of my 04 Bonatti Grey/Black SE I am a longime BMW forum member but have given up the mod addiction (yeah right) I'm lovin the Disco so far, but I sure wish I could squeeze a few more inches of leg room out of the drivers seat. Has anyone tried reversing the seat rails? I heard this may work. Any Idea how difficult that would be?

I can't seem to attach pics, is there a trick other than hosting the inage and clicking on the insert image square? the code box does not pop up when I click on it.

I'm sure I'll have tons of questions as I go along so I'll thank you LR pros in advance for your paitence with the newb

Pictures are posted by either "manage Attachement" during posting, or putting them into you Gallery.

I know I have seen the seat rail issue fixed on a D1 (pre mid '99), but not on the newer ones.

www.discoweb.org is not up right now, but when they get back up they have a write up in there tech section on how to fix it on the D1.

For your saftey and insurance, I would suggest you go to a welding shop and have them move the seat bracket back some and make sure they add extra plating for the anchor bolts through the floor. That part is inportant because if you are ever in an accident and someone is hurt the insurance company doesn't have to pay if they seats are not properly secured.
Remember also that by moving your seat back that means no one will fit in the back.
