I have a 2004 Discovery II and I had the same question. I think that you can only install those with leather seats. Never did get an answer back from Rovers North, British Atlantic, or even Land Rover themselves. Good luck.

Quickest way to find out it remove the window switch panel... if you find two plugs not pluged into anything... you have seat heaters.

its kinda funny lol but i already done that . i bought the car with no heated seat switches switches . but yes just like joey said open up the cover on top of the window switches ( very easy to do ) and there should be 2 plugs there . buy the kit , plug them there and ur all set ! another way to find out is that if u have leather seats and the woodden trimming on the door and over the glove box , then ur seats are prewired and ready to go . mostly all D2's are prewired except the SD models and the ones with cloth seats . good luck !

Well, unfortunately I don't have wood trim and I do have the SD model. I haven't had a chance to check for the extra plugs, yet. I was out earlier trying to fix the turn signal when I blew the fuse. Why can't Land Rover include a few extra fuses!

How do I pop the cover off? Just take a knife or screwdriver and pry it off? If so, i'll do it today. Thanks

you gently pry up on the wood cover, then you have 4 screw IIRC under the panel that needs to be taken out, then you can just look.
