I had a high pitch squeek that was coming from the cargo area. I climbed in back while my wife drove and isolated it to the lift gate. A little WD-40 on the latches and that was the end of it.

I'll give that a shot.

Question,

Do you think that it could be coming from the one of the tail gate shocks?

The ones that lift the upper tailgate. I checked them when I had the tail gate up, but is it possible for them, when the gate is closed, for them to rattle?

Thanks agin everyone!!!

When I had that problem -- at about 8000 miles -- I tightened everything down, no avail. Took it to the dealer (had to get the drip tube for the roof fixed, too); they replaced the right rear air unit, replaced the rear axle joint, and that solved the problem. Take it to the dealer.

I have the same rattle from my right rear seat also. Sounds like it is originating from the steel framework under the seat that allows it to fold flat or tumble forward. The plastic cover over the hinge mechanism is actually missing on that seat also. The dealer is fixing it on Monday, along with a third sunroof screen that inadvertently opens at will while driving, and a new Nav screen and fiber optic since it is still 'locking-up' after starting the vehicle (same problem I've had since day one).

I have isolated it to the upper hatch lifter area.

When I took a closer look I noticed one of the rubber grommets was missing.
It could have something to do with it, I don't know.

She is at the dealer today.

FOr those keeping score, problems I have had thus far

Replaced a four brakes and rotors
Drivers side mirror, loose
Rattle

I am still very happy with the vehicle over all!!!
