Service message on transmission

Hi, Im noticing a service message when I start my lr3 2006, where the indicator of gear is ... it comes on when I start the car for a few seconds but then dissapears... it dont show any other service lights or messages ... any ideas??

It is just that, a service due reminder. There is a preset oil change reminder, most likely set at 7500 miles, but it also checks for other aspects of your driving (i.e. a lot of short trips) and will adapt the timing of when it is due (at least I belive this is how it behaves). It will count down the mileage until the next oil change is due, and continue to run in negative numbers show how many miles past due you are until you or the service provider resets the counter.
