Thermostat for disco 03'

Does anyone knows what tool should i use to remove my thermostat (disco 03')?can i use a long nose pliers?

The T-Stat is on the passenger side front radiator hose near the bottom... It has the cheap junk clamps that you can use and pliers to remove.
