Thinking of upgrading the headlight wire harness

On e-bay, it seems like to get the really cool colored bulbs, you need to install a high temp wire harness... I saw one by Nokya that fits H4's... It's a japanese brand I believe, but it looks really legit. How big of a chance is there that I will destroy something in the process. I'm not an idiot but I'm not a genius either. I can follow directions great... I also have the drive to learn new things... Is it just a matter of splicing and soldering 4 wires? Is it worth it in your opinion?

Upgrading the headlight wire harness is easy enough, but not something I have concidered. For my D1, I plan to install the 99-03 D2 headlights, which is a brighter setup, but not much into the colored bulbs.

But remember everyone has their own opinions on things.
