Just purchased 4 replacement tires on my 2006 LR3 as they were at the end of their life. The tires coming off ( all season Generals) were replaced my the Michelin Latitude Tour versions in 265/60R18 from Tire Rack.

The biggest difference noticed is how much quieter the Michelin's are over the old ones. Handling as the vehicle is pushed seems very close. The Michelin's are also rumored to last much longer, but that'll be a long while before I can give feedback on that. Overall, happy with the purchase and the wife even noticed the difference and complimented how much smoother the vehicle drove (less road noise).

I have Toyo A/T's (kind of pricy), and love them. Chuck Schwab tells me if I keep rotating they will last a long time. Now my car has Michelin's which I also think are great tires, so your endorsement for the Michelin Latitudes are now on my list when my Toyo's wear out. BTW, my LR3 is not used for offroading.
