Replaced all the interior light bulbs, backup bulbs and rear fog bulbs with LED's. Light's up like a Christmas tree!

Installed a dashcam. I want a video the next time I hit a deer so I can sue their family.

Installed an iPad mini as my Waze display. I can also watch YouTube while driving (just kidding).

Dropped the spare tire and painted the frame with POR-15. The last thing you want the deer to see is a rusted frame!

Did front and rear diff fluid changes today with Royal Purple 75w-90 max gear. Since I had the front under shields off, I also did an oil change with my usual BJ's wholesale club Mobile 1 5w30 "synthetic" oil. While the oil was drained I replaced the vacuum pump as it looks like I've got the oil leftovers from the Exxon Valdez providing rust protection on the bottom end of my truck. .05 beer out of 6 pack of difficulty, but I had 2 cause it was hot! Also noticing the right rear is starting to drop overnight so it looks like its rear struts time very soon too.

2010 V8 212k km:
New passenger side front brake caliper
New drive shaft (front to rear)
New pads and rotors (front)
Took plastic sill covers off - not pretty :(
Rust killer and woolwax treatment pending. No holes, but should have looked at earlier (owned since 2018)

Sanded down and polished my headlights, the left (US driver's) side was particularly bad. It's got some crazing that suddenly appeared a few months ago. It's not perfect but it's much better than it was before and much cheaper than buying a new headlight or baking it for hours to replace the lens.

I wet sanded with 1500 grit until I had it knocked down enough. Followed up with Meguiars 105 cutting compound and an orange pad on my DA polisher, then sealed with four coats of Griots 3-in-1 ceramic spray coating.

Eventually have to have a more permanent solution, but this works well for now. I need to spray some 2K clear on it to add back some UV protection but for now the Griots 3-in-1 should keep any yellowing at bay for a few months.

If you put PPF it'll prevent the yellowing from UV.

I have had the rear hatch issue in the past and I figured it was time to be proactive about preventing any issues in the future. Did the install based off of this old Expedition Portal thread: Latch Mod. Lucky 8 sells a kit from Italy, but Im not spending that much for something you can spend a quarter of that on.

I didnt get as complicated as the linked thread showed, but I bought a cheap reclining chair latch, some cheap thin sound dampener, and some aluminum angle. I opened everything up, set the new cable and used a female electrical spade connector to connect the two cables together. I used some safety wire to hold the cable on a post within the actuator assembly. Everything felt solid, so bolted the actuator back in and closed the rear up and tested it many times and it worked. I then created a template and cut an opening for the latch on the subwoofer housing. A bit of trial and error to ensure everything fit well. I riveted the aluminum angle to screw the latch assembly to. Cut hole in carpet panel (probably the hardest part as I went slow here so that I didnt make the opening too big). Put it all back together and good to go!
