Hi everybody, i'm knew. I picked up a 1996 Land Rover Discovery SD in great condition. i'll get pictures as soon as i can (is there a spot in profile for that?). Anyways, the reason of my joining is to ask a simple question. ARE AFTERMARKET RIMS POSSIBLE???? Please don't scold me on "land rover isn't suppose to be used for looks." and stuff like that. I got two jeeps that i beat up off-road. My rover is to good looking, so, i just wanted to give it some shoes and be on my way. And yes, i already know this 5 on 6.5 bolt pattern crap, and it makes things hard. So here is the question, has anybody went so far as to get adapters custom made for you? If so, after the adapters were installed, what kind of poundage were you putting on the wheels? what kind of wheels did you get, etc. etc.

Thank you, and nice to meet all of you.

sorry, didn't see this post the other day... if you do a search I gave some advise awhile back on the rims that are available for the D1.... and there are some decent ones out there if you are willing to spend the money. I personally prefer just basic's, but like I said there are some nice ones to be had....

Search is a wonderful tool.

going for the aftermarket look, eh? if you want anything other than rover alloys or steelies, youll have to look for some adaptors and those will cost you atleast $500. i prefer steelies. get some of those or stick to the wheels youve got and take it wheelin. its part of the rover owning experience!
