I do not know what the clown-nose knob is either but all of the LR test mules have them (it was in the D5 ones as well). It must be something to do with the data collection of something.

There does apear to be a shell around the infotainment screen and the gear shifter assembly, but I don't think that will change the actual design, I think it is a secondary camo item to protect the finished look from being revealed in case of something like this.

Although, I have to wonder if these "spy shots" are not coordinated as they always seem to follow the same sequence of events at roughly the same timeframes leading into a vehicle launch/reveal...

I agree. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but the cadence of these spy photos is a Land Rover marketing dream. Seems like about every two weeks.

I'm still going "all in" on the full reveal being that Last Overland expedition starting at the end of August. The timing of that, and the event itself, just seems perfect.

You guys saw this, right?

There's your alpine windows, apparently confirmed. Not sure I am crazy about that ginormous rear pillar.

Edit: Oops... posted a few pages ago. Sorry about that.

I'm not sure what that rear pillar "box" is, you can see something like that in the Tusk mules, but I assumed it was part of the camo to hide things. It must have some function...

EDIT: now that I see the LEGO image, it looks to be a mounting point for a side-mount ladder or some other carrying system, at least on a 2-door, not sure what happens on the 4-door there as clearly it needs to open...

That minivan shifter kills the dash for me.

Exactly the same feeling here.

I like resting my right hand on the gear shifter for various tech and comfort reasons. Still haven't gotten used to the shifter knob in my 16. And the main reason is, being as lazy bunch as they have been over at LR, when they switched from stick shifter to the jag' knob, they left the center console the same height as is to recycle the older existing parts. So now when I try to rest my hand on the knob, the rear part of the center console (the storage/cooler box) is in the way since its way taller in height than the rest of the area forward of it, and the knob sits too low for my forearm to be in a comfortable position while still resting my hand on the knob. I have tried using foldable seat arm rest with different height settings but to no avail.

I hate the knob so much in my ‘15, that minivan stick has me excited [emoji12]
