And I believe the same SCV6 was used in the jaguar tuned up to about 380 hp right out of the factory.
Land Rover did it as well in the 2018-19 RRS 'HSE Dynamic' before moving to the i6 MHEV P360 or P400. Can't imagine it would be that tough to safely get to that output if one felt the need.
The 2018 Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic further elevates both your SUV's style and power. Under the hood it has a 3.0L V6 Supercharged engine that gets up to 380 horsepower.

I think Fuji4 on this forum has been running a tuned pulley for quite a while with no problems. And I believe the same SCV6 was used in the jaguar tuned up to about 380 hp right out of the factory.

That’s a good point didn’t think of that. Adding 100 hp and 100 tq for $2k is a pretty good deal

I actually had the new chain and checked the old one against the new one and decided to reuse the old chain and keep the new one for my next timing chain tensioners and guide refresh.

You're absolutely right about getting the tensioners, guides, and chains done while you're half way doing the job anyways. Also, change out your pcv valves along with the valve cover gaskets. There's an inexpensive kit for it.

Any info on where to get the inexpensive PCV Valve kit?

We have a 2012 LR4 HSE LUX and my daughter has a 2015 Grand Cherokee with all the bells and whistles minus the Hemi.
To me it would be a no brainer for the jeep. they are super comfortable, roomy, lots more options and her 6 banger is every bit as powerful as the V-8 in the LR-4. Now my wife would pick her LR-4.

The 6-banger in the Jeep is a 3.6 and is not nearly as powerful. The Jeep is just lighter.

I wonder how/why it's 'lighter'? (JK, we all know). It's apple vs. orange again...or some such metaphor.

It doesn't have the same pull on the highway either. When I drove a Jeep GC V6 all I could think was it needs the hemi. If I get a JGC it will have the 5.7.

After my recent scare with my 2012 v8 timing chain I am considering trading her in. I am considering either switching to a 2016 V6 or jumping out of the LR and going to a Jeep GJ diesel V6. For all its faults I do love the LR4. So switching up to the V6 do I get away from the timing chain and crossover issues? Are there other engine killing issues with the V6? Are there turbo charger issue as?
The timing chain issue was fixed on the 2013 V8 model. So that is always an option. But the more affordable route is to just fix the current one you have.
