If BMW puts that engine in a coupe then it probably will get some aftermarket support for it. The LR4 V8 has 375 HP 375 FT. LBS. and to match it they would need 100 HP out of it by turning up the boost and tuning it.

Some of the V6's these days are putting out impressive power, like in the RAM. It has more power than the V8. But the low power problem is the gotcha with Toyotas too, the redesign looks sharp but no match for the LR4. You can hear the Toyotas spool the turbo now, it sounds pretty cool so you know its on if you hear it but its too slow.

Yeah it’s in the M340 right now which has 386 hp and 398 lb ft of torque so if it has the same turbo charger and the same hpfp then with an ecu tune it should make the same (or more) power. Now I’m actually if anyone has tried.

According to wikipedia, its the BV58 engine that is also in the BMW M3 with 523 HP and 479 lb⋅ft. For the Grenadier, they detune the engine before installation. So that probably means the drive train may not be a good candidate for additional power, unlike the the LR4 with the same drive train shared with the 500 HP SC engine.

I hate distruction of machinery no matter the brand or model.
From what I see in these few photos that you have no sheet metal damage, what was damaged can be unbolted then replaced.
Broken expensive headlight on modern vehicles, "total it" by insurance companies these days.
Hope you did good with the insurance pay out amount? Also do your own DIY repairs vs being
rip-off by LR Stealership's hourly rates, they would expand the repair cost knowing insurance would pay their inflated repair costs.

The LR now tagged as totaled hurt its value, drive and enjoy it running decades longer propertly maintained (not playing submarine).
One happy son is my guess, "thanks dad".
95 D1 5-speed dealership untouched after end of 7/100K extended warranty by the 1st owner, I had two years getting everything done, service writer and two mechanics also made everything perfect in every detail knowing me personally also being mechanics (radial aircraft engine rebuilding shop R2800's) and machine shop by trade.
Every original suspension joint in the 95 D1 has zerk fittings, 4.9 V8 custom built "T" top liners the DIY engine build.

So bmw makes 2 straight 6 engines right now. They make the B58 (engine in all the 40i models) and the S58 which is in their M cars. The B58 has a twin scroll turbo, the S58 has a proper twin turbo. The B58 (although similar in many aspects) which is in the grenadier, is not the same as the S58 which is in the M3

The problem with all these vehicles downsizing to V6's from V8's is that they are all turbo or supercharged to make up the difference. Adds a lot of plumbing and complexity (esp. turbo) to engine and no linear power. Just off the line boost. These vehicles are too heavy for a V6.

Yeah, its a shame. I was asking gemini about Land Rover stuff and it pointed to VelocityAP I think it was out of Canada. They had dynographs for some of their Land Rover tunes that looked impressive for the 5.0L SC V8. Flat long torque curve, lots more power under the curve to 6,500 RPM. But they don't talk about heat soak. Thats the thing, like the C6 ZR1 and any SC if you make them work for long periods they drop power because of the heat. But still I'd take a SC 5.0L V8 anyday. I heard one fire up in Arizona in the lot the other day and it was a deep rumble. Sounded like it had power in a Range Rover Sport, black.
